Support for Special Programs
Goal: $5,500,000
Support for special programs during the Campaign will provide the resources needed for the growth of key areas and ensure that they maintain their excellent quality. Donors may designate their gifts to a restricted fund or program of interest such as nursing, education, science, accounting, legal studies, forensic science and forensic studies, information technology, business, athletics, or any academic or campus life programs at the University.
Faculty and staff work with our students to provide thorough, innovative and far-reaching opportunities, and they need the support of people who recognize the value of these programs. Gifts for special programs strengthen educational offerings in many vital ways while allowing donors to support areas of interest.
A gift of $35,000 from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield allowed the University to purchase SimMan, a life-size interactive manikin, for the Nurse Skills Lab. Products like SimMan have become a proven, effective way to teach students how to deliver health care.
