Friends of the Gallery

Thanks in large part to the patrons who contribute to the Art Galleries at Stevenson University, we are able to continue our unique mission – to make art and culture integral to the Stevenson experience and accessible to the community.  The exhibitions program offers opportunities to view significant work by renowned and emerging talents and provides a professional environment for those exhibiting artists.  The program has a history of collaboration with arts organizations as well as community and social service agencies to establish an evolving series of meaningful shows which touch a wide variety of students in cross-curricular objectives. The inaugural Maryland Heart Gallery brought together regional photographers and adoption-eligible children. "Ramps Over Fear" featured the poetry of a young autistic woman whose life was documented by a Stevenson graduate and whose children’s book was illustrated by two Stevenson visual communications majors.

To support the Art Galleries at Stevenson University, visit our secure website. Be sure to designate your gift to “Friend of the Gallery.” Gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized on a plaque outside of the Gallery.

In the fall of 2008, we will present our 100th exhibition. This milestone simply would not be possible without the encouragement of our patrons. To learn more about our exhibits and Gallery hours, visit the Art Gallery website.
