Business Information Systems

Bachelor of Science

Designed for students interested in pursuing a career in business with a focus in information technology, the Business Information Systems major satisfies business' need for well-rounded technology professionals. As technology managers, BIS graduates are responsible for delivering information services to the end-user, while cost-effectively administering their organizations' information resources.

The BIS major begins with a solid foundation of core courses in programming, network, and database design. These classes are designed to give students an understanding of the field and prepare them to make career decisions.

With this foundation, BIS majors follow the Technology Management Track, which combines practical business and technology courses. BIS majors graduate with the ability to think analytically, to assess business problems, and to select the best technology solutions.
